The helmet was presumably worn by Sarmautic auxiliae. The original is nowadays part of the collection of the Coptic Museum in Cairo. This Spangenhelmet is made of 1,6 mm thick steel. It is made for re enactment and living history. Helmets like this were worn by the Germanic tribes during the Great Migrations.
